Just a small coment, and I'm sure you have figured it out yourself, but using a smaller nozzle on your tig-welder you can have the electrod sticking out further and have a better visibility when welding 🙂

Hin Jeff, I admire your dedication to keep it as standard as possible, but in the case of the gauges I would go for the screen option with as much info and warning as possible. Just in case something catastrophic goes wrong and you get the earliest possible chance to react. Love following your and your cars progress!

Dude!!! I first learnt about the English wheel in the Biker Build off series in the 90s where they built choppers. Mainly to make the fuel tanks & fenders. I couldn't fathom how they used it to make those shapes. This video, finally made me understand the concept of how an English wheel works. & I am bloody impressed how well you did for your first go & how you made a ignoramus like me understand how it was possible for you to do. Coming along nicely mate 👍 If you've got a shrinking disc then that'll work wonders on the old parts of the roof panel. I'd never used one before and got a compound curve Beetle door back into good shape by using that along with hammer n dolly. It works wonders on shrinking high spots and pulling low points up.

Jeff, here in Adelaide i finally pulled out the gasless MIG I bought some years ago and made some stuff. My mate Larry helped me, but I had been taking confidence from your welding examples in your videos. I now have stands for my sandblasting cabinet (65mm box section steel 5mm thick) and a 25mm box section on for my router bench, as well as making a proper work bench. Thanks for the inspiration. Nice work on the wheel - I used one years ago and found it pretty intuitive to use, too.
